Apply today!OBJECTIVE / PURPOSEProvide data analysis and detailed
financial insight into the business. Detailed, accurate analysis
will provide the company with a firm foundation for making
strategic decisions, benchmarking, growth potential and ensuring
sustainability with the ultimate goal being increased
profitability. This is a hands-on field accountant position
responsible for the oversight and coordination of the regions
accounting activities. This includes providing reporting and
analysis on the operations of the business to regional management
as well as corporate accounting. This position will provide direct
and indirect work direction and support to the local branch
operational staff. This role will be responsible for the integrity
of the region's financial statements, oversight of internal audits,
facilitator of the annual budgeting and planning process for the
region, as well as providing ongoing forecasting and analysis of
the regional business.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTION Monitor
the regions account reconciliations and reserve balances in
accordance with best accounting policies and make recommendations
as necessary. Oversee the monthly close process for the region and
issue financial reports along with performing detailed variance
analysis for the monthly management reviews. Perform monthly
analysis of large customers or TM projects for all lines of
business serviced in the region, Janitorial, and Landscape.
Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of the monthly
regional forecasts and annual regional financial plans. Be the
business system expert and assist in the introduction of all
accounting-related system enhancements within the region. Monitor
the regions accounts receivable activities and assist as necessary
in collecting problem accounts while directing the staff in
effective application of companys credit and collections policies.
Support the annual financial audits and other information requests.
Provide ad hoc training and support to the local branch on
accounting functions and practices as needed. Provide support for
all special projects as needed. Oversee all regional accounting
functions including, A/P, Payroll.Specific Job Duties Include:
Directly input and review billing (sales orders). Review and audit
of sales orders produced remotely. Assist with the development,
analysis and communication of key operational metrics to
service-level management teams for use in management and
operational improvements. Consolidation and development of yearly
operating budgets by job and/or service type based on company-wide
operating plans and completed by end of year. Update job and
operating budgets based on service agreement changes. Processes
check requests and reimbursements for hourly employee purchases.
Process invoices on a weekly basis and submit it to Accounting.
Process accruals monthly on the branchs journal entry log. Prepare
monthly forecasts and projections. Communicate with operating teams
on trends and assist with action plan and remedy development.
Assist regional management and corporate accounting department in
monthly, quarterly and annual financial reconciliation and
analysis, particularly during the month-end close. Perform monthly
job-cost analysis. Provide month-end job and P&L analysis
reporting. Prepare monthly closing notes for each branch. Conduct
ad-hoc reporting and research.POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or Accounting
preferred. Experience: Significant experience working in an
analytical Finance or Accounting, or Audit role. Finance and/or
Accounting experience required. Financial analysis experience
preferred. Training/experience in project management methodology is
a plus. Business Intelligence and IT/Payroll/Software project
experience & analysis a plus. Specialized / Training: Statistical
and Financial Analysis, methodologies and software. Extensive
knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accustomed to ERP (NetSuite a
